Hello!
I am delighted to be able to say that dispatch across all pledges is now complete - including late surveys. We had some hassles with larger US parcels, but they're all resolved - we had to send new shipments for a couple of backers, since... well to be honest it was a bit of a mystery, but their shipments went astray. We've replaced those, so if you're waiting on large package of rewards in the US, hold fast, it's coming! (Again!)

EU parcels for late surveys are en route to the new efficient forwarder to enable duty paid shipping. That will take a little while to reach you, but they've left us as of today. 

A couple of people did their surveys this week, and I'll pick and pack those as soon as your cards complete. Thanks for getting to it eventually!

10 people who pledged for rewards still haven't done their surveys. I don't intend to do anything else about those. We've done all we can with regular reminders, and we can do no more. I will keep the option open to send you books when you do complete your address and settle the shipping until the end of October 2026 (That's another 3 months). At which point that window closes forever.
 

Books going on general sale

The Trench Crusade Backdrop Books will now proceed to general sale. If you did your survey late, and your parcel has only just been dispatched, do not fear: we cannot send books out any faster, so yours should still arrive first! (plus we're not selling anything direct to the EU anymore)

It is also possible that your parcel (in a dispatch of hundreds of packages) has gone astray or is still en route. We'll sort that out for you, have no fear. I'm about to do a general sweep through messages and emails and make sure we haven't missed anyone.

This one took longer than it should have done to complete, and I'd like to apologise for that. The whole "I had a suspected brain aneurysm", and the changes on the part of the EU have really wreaked havoc in our regular logistics flow, but we've fixed those things now with a bit of persistence. Thank you for your patience, it's been sincerely appreciated.

Hopefully now that Trench Crusade figures are in glorious full flow you get to use your books to take many happy photos of hideous religious  mutants in a never-ending war against the powers of literal hell. :)

I have some sniper priests waiting for some paint, so I'm off!

EU update, late survey sent out begins.

Hello!
Thanks for your patience with EU parcels. As previously mentioned, the change in laws from the EU were less than helpful in getting your parcels dispatched. That created an unexpected backlog as we waited for the new systems to come online to meet the new regulations.

There's been some behind the scenes stuff going on, it's been a bit of a trial, but I've moved all your parcels to a more capable freight forwarder, and a great big slice of them have been dispatched! I will start forwarding tracking info as soon as I get it. But most A4 rewards are on the move, with A3 to follow. I'll update briefly again once that is confirmed.

To confirm we send EU rewards duty paid, so you shouldn't have anything to pay to customs. This is done at our expense - something we can no longer do given the changes in EU import duty which hits very hard, but we'll honour it for this campaign because that's the deal we offered you.

My apologies to everyone else who this doesnt concern - I can't update individual regions, sadly.

Late surveys are being collated now - there's a bunch of work we have to do to reformat the data we get from Backerkit, so I'll be locking all those down and getting them on the move very soon. 

We have some retailer stock heading out next week, and my aim is to have everything at least in transit before that goes out.

EU non-update! Late survey backers getting picked and packed.

Hello!
Given the weight of comments from folks, I think we're due an update on parcels to the EU!

They're all shipped from us to the freight forwarder as previously advised, but we're waiting on confirmation that they're heading out to you, and for tracking. This could come in at any time.

There are some delays in the supply chain due to the July 1st EU changes in import duty, and its knock-on effect on timelines, as people prepare to deal with another round of the EU changes on imports.

Now, normally I wouldn't make a non update like this - I've spelled out the position in the previous update, and I don't like to bother you all with an update to "no news". This affects less than a third of backers, but I'm fielding almost constant individual messages, so this way you have one centralised source of the latest info. I also do appreciate your hunger for those books. And they are coming as fast as possible. 

If it helps, you need to imagine life in the EU as it's always been, while outside of that union we inhabit a rubbish dump, and attempt to breach the walls of your utopian social-democracy trade-cartel paradise with our homemade catapults made from junk we found. Witness:

For everyone else - I'm currently picking and packing late survey parcels and struggling with the heat (why couldn't you have just done your survey when the temperatures were under 30 degrees?!?!! Just joking - I'm staying well hydrated and will update again when they're done.
 
And for folks who have received their books, I hope you're enjoying them! and for folks in France especially, I hope you are also staying well watered. Phew!

Dispatch update - basically done!

Hello again!
So - dispatch update. This is for folks who filled out their surveys in time. If you're a bit late to that, we'll get to you next.

UK parcels are all sent
bar one backer - we got to the very last UK parcel, and realised the one book we needed to add to their parcel was damaged, so we reordered some. I'll be in touch with this backer shortly to explain. I'll send out their parcel today, and it'll be missing that one book, but we'll send it along as soon as we get a replacement. 

All US Parcels are sent
with just a small number which are packed and labelled, and will be collected Monday, but they're effectively all processed.

EU Parcels are all packed and en route to the freight forwarder who will ensure you don't pay import duty
They should start arriving with you towards the end next week. We're a little bit at the mercy of various EU nations changing the rules on importing goods from outside the EU this month. Bear with us. It shouldn't cause delays, but we'll see.

All "Rest of World" which is anywhere that doesn't fall into the above regions are sent, with a small number which will be collected Monday, but they're effectively all processed.
 

TRACKING

In terms of tracking info - we've concentrated on picking and packing but we will catch up with marking pledges dispatched and sending tracking info across next week.

Despite all UK rewards (bar the one mentioned above) having been sent out, we opted not to sell the Trench Crusade Backdrop Books at UK Games Expo last weekend. 

I just didn't feel it would be right, given that people further afield were still waiting. We could have made the case that any UK retailer who had backed us could have been selling them, so it'd be cool for us to do so? But I opted not to, simply out of respect for your support of this campaign. I know as a backer of campaigns I'd find that a bit frustrating, so we didn't do it.

I wouldn't have said anything but I've had a few rude messages, and I think I maybe need to communicate that we really do care about your happiness, and we've worked really hard to get your rewards out the door as fast as humanly possible. No one is tricking or conning anyone. It's just been a long process to complete as a small operation, with a few knock on delays from some unavoidable health issues, and then key projects all arriving at once. But I've clung on and not died, primarily to finish this kickstarter dispatch*, albeit a bit later than was ideal.

Now that everything is basically en route, we will take a stock of them to our local show Carronade, which happens just down the road from us here in Falkirk (and is one of my favourite games conventions) tomorrow! If you happen to be there, do pop by and say hello.

We'll also make the books available for order on our website next week. I don't want that to surprise anyone!

Shipping Progress update 70%+ done!

Shipping out your books continues apace!

All the UK rewards are picked, packed, and the last small bunch that haven’t been dispatched will head out tomorrow. 

We’ll also finish off packing the US and “Rest of World” tomorrow. 

The EU will be the last batch to go, just because we need to deal with duty on your behalf and it’s a tiny bit more complicated. 

So overall, we’re now sitting at just over 70% done at this point. 

Updating your individual Backerkit accounts to indicate if your rewards have shipped is happening sporadically - I figure it’s better to just get them sent than to delay shipping to handle that - it can be a little bit fiddly - but we’ll catch up as we go. 

A new campaign

You may have spotted we’re doing another campaign for some new (non-Trench) backdrop books. I wanted to reassure everyone that this is a bit of a quirk of timing, and that of course we haven’t forgotten your Trench Crusade backdrop books - we’ve been packing and shipping nonstop!

I had hoped we would have the Trench Crusade Backdrop Books parcels all done before the new campaign dropped, and we’ll be soooo close to that. So I do understand if it feels a bit frustrating for a new campaign to arrive before you’ve received your rewards from this one. It's bugging me too. We are a “trusted creator” on Kickstarter, so we’re allowed to have three campaigns on the go at once. (Being really strict about the rules, I think this one actually counts as done with over 50% of rewards dispatched... but that seems a bit like stretching it to me - it's done when they're all sent!) And by the end of this week we should be done entirely with this one.

I hope it makes sense that as a small creator, especially after the whole "brain might explode" health issue, we have to keep making new stuff to stay in the game, and that the overlap should only be a matter of days. We have to fit a lot into the calendar, and around convention time makes things especially tricky. 

I also totally get it if you don't feel ready to back a new campaign. That's ok! Everything will eventually be on our web store if you want to wait.

Late surveys

Thanks to everyone who has recently completed their survey!

We’ll be catching up all late surveys in one batch at the end. 

I’ll be in touch with anyone who is still having card issues towards the end of this week - I can see there's a handful of folks who aren't having any luck with that -  We can make alternative arrangements if the Backerkit card processing isn’t working out.
